Automated Blood Component Extractor - Helping in Fighting Corona Pandemic
We are glad to hear that Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum has received permission from ICMR approval for exploring the feasibility of convalescent plasma transfusion—a therapy in which blood plasma from individuals who have recovered from Covid-19, that is, their immune system has developed antibodies (present in the plasma) to beat the disease, is transfused into a person critically ill with the disease (https://www.financialexpress.com/opinion/kerala-has-just-received-approval-from-icmr-to-try-out-plasma-therapy-for-covid-19/1925300/)
Pyrotech has designed and manufactured an innovative automatic blood seprator machine which seprates plasma, white cells, red cells, platelets in blood. We have a marketing tie-up with Government of India company HLL life care Ltd.
With this machine, the utility of blood to a patient increases multi fold as only one of the component (Eg, RBC, platelet) which is required can be given and balance can be used for other patients. Thus the availability of vital blood components in hospitals increases.
This machine is inline with our Honorable PM’s Make In India program . With its affordable cost it can be used by all district level hospitals & blood banks. Furthermore, it can also be used for teaching & demonstration purpose.
A patent also has been filed for the same. Pyrotech has been awarded 2nd prize in the category “Excellence in innovation in Electronics“ by ELCINA at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi on 14th Sept, 2018. ELCINA, is the oldest and largest association representing the electronics manufacturing industry of india.
We have this machine in stock. Detailed Specifications are at http://www.pyrotechlighting.com/subcategory/automated-blood-component-extractor-machine-118. If any hospital would like to try the therapy, we would be more than willing to help out with this machine. Also you may write to medical@peplelectronics.com. Together we can fight the corona pandemic !
